According to CFO Magazine, attracting and retaining the right talent is the top internal concern of the CFO. This is great news for workforce planners building that all important relationship with the finance team, but of course we knew that smart CFO's already worried about talent and are supporting strategic workforce planning efforts! What's really interesting about the list of internal concerns (left) is that the number two concern is "Ability to forecast results".
So, the CFO is concerned about the accuracy of their forecasts, huh? Of course they are - since the future is unpredictable, we can never have certain forecasts, and that won't change. But what we can do is understand that when we talk to the CFO about the uncertainty of workforce forecasts, and the challenge of getting them in the best possible shape...the CFO understands. Go talk to them about it!
